As in most of America, the law business slows down in the last two month of December. For those of us who represent consumers this is considered the calm before the storm. Most courts are reluctant to grant home foreclosures during the December holidays and most creditors are not inclined to assume the entire “Scrooge” approach so they wait—Until January.

Perserverance in America– Wilmington Ohio

Last night Scott Pelley of 60 Minutes returned to Wilmington Ohio for another visit to this community which has been hit very hard by the recent Recession. (Wilmington is about an hour north of Cincinnati and used host the Bengals Training Camp before they came to Georgetown.)

Mortgage Modification Fails Again In Congress

Thanks to everyone who called their Representatives yesterday in support of Mortgage Modification. I regred to report that the amendment allowing for modification did was not supported by a majority of Representatives. I am proud to report that Kentucky had more calls to its representatives than 23 other states.
