Yesterday Denver Post Photographer Craig F. Walker won a Pulitzer Prize for his photo essay of Iraq War Veteran Scott Ostrom who has been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after multiple tours in Iraq as a Recon Marine.  The struggles of this Marine after he returned to Denver and began the process of returning to civilian life are heartbreaking.

Soldiers & Marines Suffer from Failing Brain Analysis Program

A Department of Defense program to test solders for brain injures before deployment to establish a baseline for injuries sustained while deployed is being crushed under the weight of Pentagon bureaucracy. These brain tests are used by the National Hockey League and by neurologists to evaluate individuals tho are expected to suffer traumatic brain injuries.
